can we take generic O2 sensor and splice wire to put it? any writeup

Second, while at front o2 sensor replacement, can we do anything else like cleaning exhaust pipes? or anything else?

The highway speed limit here is 110 kph, around 70mph. I usually stick to it since gas costs about $ 3.90 gal (US$) - $1.18 / litre CAN$. Even at 27 mpg it costs me about $ 65-70 C$ to fill up (US $55). New plusgs and clean TB, etc soon. I plan to do full maint soon as weather breaks . . . we got 1 1/2 ft of snow on Easter Sunday, with 70 mph winds. Temps are going up to 40-45 F this weekend (if we're lucky). NLmaxima probably has worse weather than I do - he's a couple hundred miles east of Halifax, out in the ocean.

Its not that difficult of a job. Jack up the car and wrench them off. If you can't break them loose take it to a shop and ask how much they charge. Probably at least an hours labor charge, ~$70.
