I have a 99 Max GLE, want to go to the 350Z enthus wheels that are staggered. Tried installing the 350Z wheels and the front wheels stick out approx 5mm-10mm out of the fender. What are some solutions? The rear is perfectly flush and I do not want to put spacers to bring them out like a car from the barrio. Do I need to have a machine shop shave the offset down? IS that safe and what is this I am hearing about the offset and bearings going bad? Does increasing the wheel size also shorten the life of the auto transmission? Need help, thanks...

You can move the wheels out toward the fender with spacers if you need to. But there is no safe way to remove material to place the wheels closer to the hub. Most wheels only have just enough material anyway because of weight issues. Usually not enough extra to be changing the offset of the wheel. Get different wheels or live with it.
