Hello,

I am looking to get the real H.I.D. headlights for my '96 Max for street use, and therefore am considering getting an entire kit from another car with them, and getting them installed by a pro. I know this is costly. What other car that has H.I.D. xenons shares similar headlights, so that I don't need to spend more at the bodyshop getting the lights to fit?

Thanks in advance!

RE: Xenon Lighting Kit...

Just thought I would let you know that at www.procarparts.com has the real Phillips kit on sale for $399. It retails for like $899, and sells for $599, so this is damn cheap. Just trying to help.

Thanks!

Actually, I was thinking of waiting for someone with similar lights to total their car and buy it from a scrap yard. Bad thought...but it happens.

RE: Xenon Headlights...

Do Infiniti I30s come with xenons? You might want to find that out, because you could definitely put a set of those lights in, if you are prepared to alter your body a little. But even if you get them cheap at a junk yard, you would pay more altering your body than just buying a new 9004 xenon set for your car. Just trying to help.

I think they only came on the 2000 model year, so the body style will be different. I will check. Also, any opinions on the "projector" style headlights?

Thanks!

I think the projector style would look chill on a max. They worked on the Z and I think it will carry over.

Hello there,

All can say is GOOD LUCK to you. In my opinion, I do not think that there is anything close to the 4th gen. headlight housing and it is only available in US's market (I could be wrong), but you can buy the kit from these company and put it on, it's plug 'n play kit. I bought a kit for my '95 Maxima from PML (the last link) about 2 years now, I liked it so far.

www.autolamps-online.com

And you can buy the BMW HID projector headlights (from the junkyard) and put them in your Maxima headlights' housing just like the people at Philipslighting board did it to their cars (Jackk, MGB, Ekooke.....). I hope that I could help you out and once again, GOOD LUCK.
