supercharger question?

No mods are necessary to go with the supercharger. Just do all maintanence items first. Then boost.
Start reading the stickies in the Supercharged/Turbocharged forum and the various threads in there. There's a wealth of information there. Then read them two more times until things start sinking in. Then post questions.

Best of luck finding one mate. One of our members on the org has a turbo for sale, ($3,000 obo) sorry can't recall who it was tho. He had it boosted to 16 psi and that aint bad atall. That may be a better option than a SC. If you do go with the SC, make sure you get a v2 mounting plate as the v1 tends to weaken due to heat issues. Good luck!
p.s. I would take your time doing it, anything worth doing is worth doing right ... patience!

Those are just two. I'm not going to spend my time searching all the threads when you can do that tho.

WTF are yopu talking about?
The V1 plate is a better choice then the V2 plate. No belt issues, plus ive never heard of anyone having heat issues with the V1 plate.

I think he means that, after you install the S/C your going to be repairing/replacing other parts that get worn out.

I havent had to replace anything due to being boosted. My clutch is beginning to slip but thats to bo expected once making over 10 psi, not to mention its got quite a bit of miles on it already.

Well sometimes its best to speak from experience and not what you've read or heard.
There are a large handfull of members who are boosted and have no real issues from being SCed. SCed is a pretty reliable setup compared to being turboed.
Its all going to be based on your tune. Once you have a good tune you can pretty much just do the normal maintenace and be done. Most problems come from people not being satisfied and trying to gain more power, but then again it comes down to tunning. Being boosted does shorten the life of the motor, and thats to be expected being that the VQ30 was designed to be NA versus Boosted.

Exactly, adjusting the fuel, timing, etc. Without proper fuel the chance for detonation becomes great.
