What does a Y pipe consist of?

What does a Y pipe consist of?

guys i need an answer right away/ does the y-pipe go all the way to the main cat? what stock parts does it replace. my cars up in the air right now and I have a y-pipe coming.or in other words,what would I need in between the main cat and the y-pipe/ its sitting at a mienieke shop right now/thanks

The y pipe goes from the headers to the cat. All one piece. just need the o rings and gasket.

IIRC Y-Pipe's consist of:

Front O2
Y-Pipe Hanger
2 crush rings
1 gasket
8 M14x1.25 bolts

You obviously have to remove the O2 sensor from the original y-pipe and install it in the aftermarket y-pipe.
