I'd say, leave your interior alone. I thought about doing that but I found out that it was ricey.

I prefer all black.. at worst, get one of them dash trim kits (i.e. brush aluminum).. but painting trims IMO, cheapens the look of the car..
specially if the colour stands out too much..

However, it's your car, so it's your call..
If you are trying to "match" with your car colour ( blue), try pshoping the painted parts the same blue as your car.. Also, it loks weird in your pshop pic cause there is no "flow" of the blue.. it seems more like random spots with blue..

But like I said, it's your ride, so it's your call...

I'll still do things even if they're considered "ricey", I mean I don't think labels should deter you from doing something you like.

It is the same blue as my car, it was just the lighting. I took several pics of the car before I took the dash pics so I'd have some palettes to pull from. The first picture is a bit dark. I really liked the way Airmattdog had his interior done, I thought it looked really nice. And a couple other people actually painted the interior silver and they all turned out great.

I'm just afraid of painting it and it getting old real quick

Then if you are worried about that, I would suggest using vinyl instead..
but I'd leave it all black.. that is something that will not get old nor played out

Probably for the best all black, how would you go about vinyl though?

Buy some colour vinyl as close as to the colour your want..
clean and degrease the surface you wish to "stick" it on..
remove the backing off the vinyl to expose the sticky side..
slowly apply the vinyl on the parts you want to "colour"..
I would suggest using a hair dryer to "mold" the vinyll according to the part/shape you are trying to cover..

but if you want blue, I think they sell dash trim kits that are blue..( I remember seeing Blue "carbon fiber" trim kits.)
I would get this instead if I was gonna do up the interior of my car, but I prefer all black..

It look really bad. I've never been a fan of painted interiors unless they are done professionally and have some kind of scheme going.

If you paint, only do the AC vents down to the shift trim. All the little random items make for a cheap look.

^ i'm kinda thinking the same as freeway.

well aleast the paint looks like its on there clean. But i think you dont have enough peices to make it look nice. Just the lack of blue spots give it more of the ricey look.

You mean like the doors are the random items? Or like the steering trim?

painting your interior never ends up looking good. just leave it alone. if you feel the need to do something, get 3M's plastic polish and go over the clear plastic windows (such as in front of the instrument cluster) to make them crystal clear again. if you really want to go further you can also go over the plastic trim of the center stack to make it cleaner and shinier

I disagree with everyone saying painting end up looking bad. IMO it's the color you choose and the work you do that make the job look bad or not. Mine came out fantastic IMO and I have had nothing but compliments on it. People think its stock usually. Blue does not look good at all. CF looks awful as well. Very ricey IMO. That back chrome stuff interests me just because I'd like to see the quality. Try it out if you want but know that it's probably not going to be the best quality or last like you want.

i was about to disagree, but after looking at your pictures, I have to say that it looks very nice. you did a very good job and I especially like the vents to coordinate with the center stack

His and Airmattdogs interior is what inspired me to do something like this.

but he also has a lot more stuff done to his car so it flows well. his is a show car, yours is not so if you paint 7% of your interior it will look very cheesy and cheap like freeway said.

if that's something you like, more power to you. but, i really don't like it. i don't think it goes well with the car. i'll leave it at that. the bottom line is that it's your car and if you think you'll like having an interior like that, by all means go for it. but think hard and if you do end up doing it, make sure to take it slow and do a good job. even the best planned and coordinated paint job will look like total crap if it's not done well

if you want a gloss black look, there is not need to paint anything. you can just use the 3M plastic polish I mentioned.
