go with 1 sub and the right box and its all you'll need. space saver and i can still access my spare tire just fine..

had to make a new floor though, with hinges to lift the front most portion up.

I have 2 12's and the floor is plenty flexible enough to pull up and reach the spare.

its just that my car has like a piece of wood or whatever under the carpet floor before i can get the tire. i'll probably just take that out if possible. thank you for all feedback.

I got one 12 in a big box in the trunk and i can get to mines too. I have to disconnect the wires and pull it out to make sure that I can place everything back in my car once I'm done, but that takes all of 5 minutes.

You might want to go with a bass tube in the car. If you are looking for "hear you a mile down the road sound" then that probably won't be the right speaker to get. I found that you get a little weary of a lot of boom in the trunk after awhile, and you don't even play it that loud as often. Also, with that much boom, the trunk will rattle to high heaven if you don't dynomat or do something along those lines.

If you are not in a show, go with a bass tube IMO. You will have a lot of room left and get a lil' boom to showcase with. I wish I had went that route. I will end up selling my 12 and getting a bass tube. Probably do it this summer. . .

blim,

IMO, don't take that piece of wood out. that is what gives your floor it's rigidity to support whatever you put in the trunk. You can sit your box comfortably on it. I keep mines in the trunk right on top of it and have no probs. . .

my spare is still in there. If I ever need it I'll just take out my 2 12's to get to the spare.

yes, if you remove that piece of board under the carpet your box may sink into the well....

why not disconnect the wires to the box and lift it out and then take out the spare? im sure everyone can lift a box with two 12's out of a trunk

basically just invest in good speakers and save urself some weight and gas in the process.

i have seen peoples cars get stolen cause they pull up to work banging their base, and thief's nearby sit, wait and listen.

I have 2 12' subs and a custom box, there not alot of room for anything else but you can easily take them out to get to your spare. Just dont Mount the amp/cap on the back of the box. I screwed a peice of wood to the back wall and mounted the amp there. i replaced the stock wood cover, over the spare, with a little more thick plywood.

What subs are u getting?

Trunks aren't used for keeping spare tires in them, they are for putting subs in them. My spare tire is standing up on the floor behind my drivers seat. You can't even notice it from outside the car. But i guess it had to go somewhere since there is almost a 13 cubic ft. box in my trunk.

Running 1 12" and have no problems accessing the spare. I did make a new floor out of 1/4 ply just because the OEM was junk.
