Did something stupid rear right e-brake isn't releasing.

So i was rotating my tires and I pulled the e-brake too hard and something went wrong. When i was pulling it it all of a sudden became loose. I drove around the neighborhood a bit to let the car settle and i noticed a funny smell. Then i felt lots of heat comming from my rear right wheel.

what could be wrong? did the cable slip off? or snap?

check the cable near the trailing arm of the rear suspension. I am going to bet that it got pinched, your rear caliper has the emergency brake engaged.

This happened on my car. I think you can knock it back with your hand to unlock the emergency brake. (I mean take off the tire, and then hit the lever to unstick it.) Sounds like your cable broke, though, if it suddenly became loose, so I don't know why the back brake would still be locked unless it just got stuck (like my car).

The emergency brake cable is actually several different pieces. I had to have the short central piece replaced once. If the cover for the cable is split open back by the tire, try sprarying some lubricant in it as a short term fix.

E-Brake Cable

Does anybody know how to get the right rear E-brake cable off. I have mine disconnected all the way from the rear brake assembly up to the last hanger. That last hanger looks like its up behind the exhaust shield underneath and just behind the E-Brake Handle. I have ythecenter console removed and the cable lock plate removed as well. I just can't seem to figure out how to get that last bolt out.
Any Ideas?
Thanxs
