Okay, I'm going to take my car into the shop tomorrow for the brakes.

First thing, when I release my emergency brake, the light on the dashboard stays on. Do you have any idea why?

Second thing is, my front right brake is squeeling. I took of the wheel to take a look at it, but I saw nothing wrong with the brake pads they still have some good life to them. Would that have anything to do with the reason why the brake light is not going off? Is this some type of warning sign. I know I'm stretching, but I'm curious. Also is there anything to clean the dust around the caliper? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That dashboard warning light serves two purposes ...
- handbrake is on
- master cylinder brake fluid reservoir is low
... so check your brake fluid.

I can't think of a cause-and-effect relationship. Disk brake squeal is a common complaint with all makes of car. Please make sure the technician who works on your car knows all these symptoms. He should check for a stuck caliper.

You can buy a spray can of brake cleaner at any auto parts store. This is the same product which a professional uses as part of a complete brake job. Read and heed the cautions on the can. These are powerful solvents and should not be inhaled.

Thanks for the info, I'm going to shop first thing in the morning. Just to give you a little more information, after 40 mph, the squeeling sound goes away. I'll be sure to tell them tomorrow. Once again, thanks for the info.
