I just got my indiglo gauge from Initial K. I went to Cheston site to look at the instruction. Btw, for some reason, the site is really slow. Anyway, the instruction said to use the dimmer switch as the power source. The instruction said to cut and splice the blue wire from the dimmer switch. However, this was on a '97 Maxima. What about a '96 Maxima, is it the same? I don't have a volt meter, so I don't know. I don't want to screw it up. How about the screws that hold on the stock gauge? I have a SE, not a GXE or GLE as the site stated. Sorry for the questions, I just want to get it right the first time.

Yep... same blue wire. And leave the screws in for the stock gauges.

I have a 96 GXE and I removed all the screws on the stock gauges....I left them on at first, but the needles would stick. I guess if you leave enough clearance for the needle it wouldn't stick.
Use the blue wire of the dimmer.

I tried that at first, but don't the gauges move around?

It doesn't matter....I just taped the stock gauges to the plastic cluster, and then taped the indiglo gauges to the stock ones.
I was afraid that if I hit a bump while driving the gauges would move, but so far so good
