Just wanted to make shure i was clear on it before i spent money.Recently there was 98 se t boned and send to the scrap yard just up the road from my house. It was in amazing shape, just got all the leather from it.Iam wondering will the rear o2 sensor be fine on my 96 gxe.O and since im asking.I wanted to take the stering wheel off it becuase its a nicer would..will it fit right up or not,or maybe some adjusting is needed to fit?.And last but not least im going to take the auto climate control.Feel sorry for the guy who lost it.But finally after 2 years i got a parts car.

To answer your questions:

1. Yes the 02 sensor will match up. Just make sure it was not damaged at all in the accident.

2. The steering wheel will bolt right up but you will need a new drivers airbag. I am assuming that the airbags in this car blew, so you may need to hunt around for one.

3. The automatic climate control is not a simple task. There are 4 temperature sensors on the automatic climate control spread out throughout the car where the manual has one or two. There is a lot of work needed to rewire and make it work. Someone did do it a while ago on here....try searching for it. They even said when all said and done that it was not worth the time and money.

1. Everywhere I've seen has a different part number for the upstream vs downstream O2 sensors. Haynes says they are the 'exact same thing', but it also says that the downstream reads at a slower pace than the upstream. Hell, if it were me I'd just put a sim in place for the rear, it doesn't do anything useful anyway.

3. The manual shouldn't have any temperature sensors, it has no feedback based control, so temperature sensors wouldn't mean anything to it.

Yes, you are correct. I do not know why i thought it had any sensors.

So doing the auto climate control shouldnt be hard just hall out the manual and wire up the auto one from the center console,or is there more work to it?

The manual has no sensors while the automatic has 4. It is NOT a simple plug and play.......
