Doors relock when opened with keyless entry...anyone else have this issue
Most of the time when I try to open all the doors (by double clicking the unlock button on the stock keyless entry) my doors will open and than relock right away. This has been going on for some time now, and I can't figure out how to fix it. I searched but couldn't find anything, anyone else had this problem or know what the culprit is and more importantly how to fix it?
Check to see if one of your front locks open/close with your key fob. Those 2 have auto locking into them, so when you lock using one of them, all the locks close with it. One of them could be stuck in the closed position. Just a suggestion.
A similar prob occured on Gen 2 Legends. Not sure if Max's are the same but:
The door latch in a legend contains the lock/unlock switch. The switch will lock/unlock all the doors if the key or interior door lock **** is used. When the switch goes bad in a Legend, it will cause the doors to lock/unlock opposite of what you want be it from a keyless or door lock switch in the car. Sometimes the car will keep "re-locking" itself for several moments after you leave the car. In these cases most people had success replacing the door latch assembly. To figure out if or which door was the culprit, you can remove the door panel and disconnect the door lock switch that is built in to the latch assembly. If the prob clears up, just fix that one door latch. Either replace the switch or the entire assembly.
Maybe it's a similar solution for your car. Good Luck

Have u tried changing the battery on ur remote? maybe a weak signal. Maybe your remotes' button is sticking from constant use, I don't know, just some thoughs-Maximafrenzy is most likely correct.
sit in your car, lock the doors, then use the power door lock button on the driver side... have the same problem? If so, I'd guess it's the door lock solenoid. If not, I'd guess something w/the keyless entry.
