eibach pro-kit drop lower back then front!?

so i installed my eibach pro-kit on my 4th gen and the front sits higher then the rear. + it also feels pretty soft up front. just wondering if all the other guys with pro-kit here have the same issue. im on illuminas btw.

yea the rear can be lower, it depends on whats in your trunk and transmission type. the automatic is heavier so it helps level the ride. i dont think the front is soft at all. what are the shocks set on?

omegaboost,

I'm new to the suspension deal so pardon my ignorance, but when you say "kit", I assume you just mean the springs by themselves (being that you also stated you are on illuminas). My boy just got eibach springs put on his 07 Acura TL-S, and his rear sits lower. I think this is just the way that those springs run. I have Tokico HP's and my max sits very even all the way around. If you have the Tokico springs, you might want to try installing those and see how it sits.

Check below for pics of my drop if you want a visual. . .

Mine does too. When looking at other org members pics, i noticed like 80% of them are auto, which would help bring the front end down a bit. I am 5spd, so i contribute that to the reason why my front sits a little higher then my rears. Its not really that noticeable on level ground.

As Jsutter said, the Autos are heavier in front and level out the car whereas the 5spds are lighter in the front so the rear does sit lower.

I had eibach and tokico blues and I'm a 5spd and It looked like I was doing a wheelie.

I change my shocks to AGXs and still not change. I am on Tein Coilovers now and would never go back to lowering springs.

Stechs are going to be really low and give you a more aggressive stance. The handle is crappy and the ride will be harsh as a mother. I also had this set up with AGX's.

I've been through a few different setups and am happiest with Coilovers

These are my previous setups.

Eibach/Tokico
Eibach/AGX
Eibach Rears/ Tein Front stech front/ AGX
Tein S tech all around/ AGX
Ground control Front/ Stech Rear/ AGX
Ground Control All around/ AGX
Tein Basic Dampers.

As you can see I had my fair share of trying to get the ride balaced from front and rear. I have a system in the back so that is my main problem. I have a lot of extra weight in the back and always looked like i was doing a wheelie. Trust me, save you money and get coilovers.

Can we get some pics in this thread for a reference? I'm looking to switch from H&Rs to Eibachs, but am curious if the rear sag will be any more noticeable. BTW, I'm a 5 speed with a box in the trunk.

My front sits lower than my rear and i have a heavy sub box in the trunk. Also being as I have not lowered my rear just yet. I am rolling on Eibachs and GR-2s. My front sits low. I am thinking of switching to Koni's and Eibachs to see how much better of a ride I get.

I have Eibachs on Illuminas as well, but my front sits lower...I have a 95 auto with a sub in the rear and the spare removed.

I just bought a 97 5-spd so I'm curious to see if the front comes up at all from the lack of weight.

Yeah, that's the typical Eibach drop for you.

My eibachs used to sit a tad lower in the rear too.

I hated that.

So I got rid of them.

I got a 97 Maxima(auto) with Eibach pro kit and Illuminas set at 2 for the front and 3 for the back. I also have two 12's in a pretty big box and my rear still sits higher than the front.

Eibach fronts, H&R rears FTW...

Or just get H-techs like I have been telling you...

AGX SUCK! illumina strut for the win. i got stech and illumina ride is awesome if the road is good. The handling is sick. Go with H&R if you want a more comfortable ride but less handling. Higher in the front would **** me off too.

The have little or no suspension travel. If you have only 3-4" of OEM travel, and you reduce that by 2.2" through lowering, then you have 1-2" of travel in a 3000 lb. car. On anything but smooth roads, this will destroy stock struts and will still hit the bumpstops even on aftermarket struts.

Sure, they look good, but they ride poorly and can be dangerous if they bottom out in a curve, thus resulting in unpredictable handling.

We don't hate them for anything other than their lack of safety and utility in the A32.

Is that sarcasim? I know exactly whats going on with my suspension as I changed my bushings, end links and the works. Now my stechs are decent in the fact that I take it easy on the streets of NYC

i think it's just a matter of preference. I have s-tech + illumina and i'm not happy about it. tried different settings, still the same thing. one setting too bouncy, another too harsh. thinking putting my old eibach + illumina, but haven't got a chance. so far GC coilover and kyb agx was a great ride that i tried. 0.02
