What is average radiator life?

Got a 1998 Maxima GXE still with original radiator and 220,000 kms (136,000 mi).

Is this typical, or maybe due for a change soon?

possibly due for a change, i had to replace mines within a 2 year period twice, and that was within 75k miles all highway..first time it had a leak, and just recently it kept on overheating constantly on local roads and fine on highways. Thank God that's taken care of.

Obviously how long a radiator lasts is a function of how regulary the coolant was changed and the system was flushed.

My 95SE is going to be 13 years old on October 1st. I haven't replaced the radiator and doubt I will have to in the next 5 years.

Granted the car is a low miler.

depends on how it was driven, my car it had to be replaced at about 180,000, where as my dad's 95 max hasnt been replaced yet and is sitting at 270,000

just check for leaks, major dents. even possible warping,
