Car History
The car was purchased new in 1999 as a daily driver. After undergoing some mild modifications, the car went under the knife for a complete makeover in the Spring of 2000. Dodge Viper GTS blue paint was sprayed over the Stillen-enhanced body. With a custom reverse-mount hood (like a Viper), the car is currently the most modified Maxima known.
For performance modifications, the car went to the leader in Nissan performance, Stillen, who added their supercharger kit and other accessories, including a Formula one braking system from AP Racing. The car produced 221 hp to the wheels. A Veilside carbon fiber wing and Bomex side mirrors from Japan round out the car’s exterior styling.
For the interior, Trimmasters provided a one-off blue carbon fiber dash kit and Stitchcraft provided the upholstery work. A $20,000 In car electronics system comprised of extensive Audio/video component was installed as a Clarion/JBL/Infinity joint venture with the latest offerings from each company finding their way into the car. The car’s three huge JBL W12Gti woofers weigh more than 20 lbs. each with a special support system needed. The car’s five JBL amplifiers produce more than 4000 watts and required two additional batteries to support the electrical load.
Other lighting and trim accessories were provided by Toucan/Ractive/Eurolite and can be found throughout the car. The engine compartment was dressed by Hose Techniques. Motegi Ro_Ja wheels were produced just for this car and custom suspension work was done by Ractive.
A nitrous system and custom roll-cage are in the works now.
This car is used in the making of the movie The Fast and The Furious due out June 22, 2001. The car was used by the character “Vince? played by Matt Schulze, a bad guy in the movie.
The car was used in a few action and chase sequences. The car’s performance mods were performed by Stillen in preparation for the movie. One sequence in the movie, a fight scene between “Brian?and “Vince?damaged the quarter panel and doors. The studio repaired and restored the car to perfection.
The car is slated to appear in a variety of magazines, none of which could be shot prior to delivery to Universal Pictures for its?movie appearance. The car’s audio construction has taken the last two months and the car was completed only days before the Hollywood Premier of the movie.
The car is valued at $75,000.

This car's stats have been posted before.
Most agree that this is one good lookin' Maxima. But I will agree with one person's post: For all the money and modifications, I am suprised that it's 1/4 mile time is what it is. I think Don in Texas spent less on engine mods and has a car more than a second faster with an automatic. I may be wrong on that point but I am pretty sure that I read that Don has done 12.8 or 12.9.
I still would love tho have this car though. It is one sweet ride. I liked how Vince, the girlfriend and one other guy all had Nissans. The Max, a 240 and a 300 all in a line. We can't get them in magazines, but they will show them prominantly among the hondas.

RE: Fast and Furious Maxima...
Too much money for too little performance. Sure, its awesome and I love it, but had that amount of money all been spent on performance, that car would probably be in the high/low 11s (1/4 mile) and 0-60 in MUCH less (7.1 is VERY close to stock). But I guess it is a beautiful blend of looks, performance, and sound. The 3 senses...

its still one of the hottest max's i know of, besides that yellow SC one with Skyline tails and intercooler.
Its very tru though, you cant have speed and perfromance especially in a maxima
I chose speed and took all my audio equipment out, and what a difference, she feels like the day i bough her.

I was looking at some old magazines today, Max Speed November 1998 particulary, and noticed that the featured maxima belongs to Craig Lieberman's wife. Craig is the owner of the F&F max...his wife's was/is a '97 white with 18" Enkei Zenkei wheels, body kit + type 2 spoiler, and Eibach springs.
#23
Same car, the F&F Maxima is his wife's. It just happened to be white back then.

Skylines and...
Anyone here watch anime/japanese animation? If so, check out Initial D, its like the fast and the furious only with less variety of cars, but more japanese imports that we rarely see in the states, such as LOTS of skylines, the skyline F34 specifically. Its tight. Anyway, Shadow and BrianV's maximas look MUCH better than that F&F maxima. I especially like the colors of Shadow and BrianV's maximas.
Shadow, what is your 1/4 mile and your 0-60?
I can't wait to buy my first maxima. Will be soon! 14 hours of school left and I'm home free!
Ok I rambled a lot.

Nope, same car. I've talked to Craig Lieberman in person, he told me it's the same car.

It's amazing... a Maxima with speed and sound mods. And yet... isn't anymore exciting than a dozen other Maximas on this board. But people are just fascinated by it just because it was in a movie. Whoo-de-frickin'-do! Why can't we be obsessed over let's say Cheston's Max, or 1MAX2NV's Max, or Don's Max, or any other Maximas on this board who actually contribute to the Maxima community.
I have more respect for Hogan (yoit'sok) than I do for this guy whom I never met and has supposedly the most modded Maxima in the world. Whatever.
Hogan and Cattman and Don and Cheston and whole bunch of other Maxima enthusiasts are working on their Maximas, making products and supporting the aftermarket base for the Maxima community.
What has Lieberman done for me. Or you? Nothing. All he did was get Stillen to buy everything for him, slap it on his car, and then put his car in a movie. Ooooooohh.... I'm supposed to be impressed? Pffft. Whatever.

Don't be so hard on the guy. He's actually a really nice guy. It's not like he came here trying to be the Maxima God or something. Of course those websites list his car as the most modified Maxima known, it's called advertising BS. What are they gonna say? We have the 17th most modified maxima known appearing in this movie? BTW, it was a lot harder for him to get the car in the movie than most of you think.
He doesn't come here bragging about his car, he's never even posted here. The members here chose to talk about his car, he's not forcing anybody to like it or be in awe of it. He has connections in the industry that he used to get his car to where it is. You guys act like getting sponsored and having your car somebody's project car is a horrible bad thing. It's not. Of course it's nice to buy your own mods, but if you have connections in the industry and could get all that stuff for free, would you say no? I wouldn't. I'm spending a large portion of my time right now making phone calls and hanging out with the right people just so I can do the exact same thing he's done. I've got a bunch of sponsors and get a lot of stuff for free, but nobody seems to bash on me for it. Why is there this inherent dislike for Craig Lieberman? Because of the **** that went down with Cheston last year? So what? To me, it looked like one big misunderstanding. Everything involved in that movie was licensed out. Everybody else paid Craig to have info about the movie on their websites, so it's not suprising he expected the same from Cheston. Cheston didn't want to pay, no big deal. Do you know how much it cost to even get a company name into that movie?
BTW, he is director of NIRA. So he may not have done anything for you directly, but he is a big asset to the industry as a whole.
I don't know the guy that well, but I just got sick of all the posts bashing him and his car for no real good reason.

i agree with shadow fully on this one, because i think we all jump to conclusions because he over paid or doesnt show out like some people do on this board.. there are some amazing cars on this board and i think people are just jealous.. i sure as hell know i am. I wouldnt mind having some tv's, full JBL system, suede/leather seats, sponsored by every company out there.. the only thing i dont get is why motegi only let him borrow their new line of wheels and didnt give them to him..
i would love to talk to the guy just to say thanks for getting OUR car on the big screen.. a lot of you guys on this board think you are so bad a$s cuz you have this and that, but where are you?? on a maxima forum, online. i am not pointing anyone out, just saying that a lot of people act like they are so awesome with some of the mods they have, but they usually arent all that..
you'll never hear Shadow, Cheston, Brian V, Kev, or any of those guys put flames in people posts, just because they think that the post is stupid.
give credit where it is due.

Shadou I have to agree completly. If it was anyone of us who got our car in or something or knew someone on the board who did we would all be in awe. But since it was some random guys everyone gets all upset. Kinda Dumb.
