PLEASE somebody help me (drive belt install)

PLEASE somebody help me (drive belt install)

im about to die if i dont figure out someway to get my new drivebelt on, ive been working my *** of to change out my old alternator and i have cuts and scrapes all over my arms from putting the new alt. in, but i cant for the life of me get the new belt on. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG??? i did what everything says-

i loosened the tensioner, im not a rocket scientist or anything, but it doesnt DO ****, nothing happens when i tighten or loosen the damn thing. i undid the A/c in hopes of putting the belt on , and then bolting the a/c down....not working. please, if anybody can tell me anything to help please do.

u need to loosen a "nut" on the tensioner b4 loosening the tensioner itsself. Have u done the first one yet?

yes i did, although it didnt do anything for me, it seems like i could loosen every nut on the car and there still would not be enough room to get the belt on

I tried it once, same problem, took it to a mech, there is a tension bolt that he had to get to from under the car using a long wrench. But once he did that it was a breeze from there.

yeah i figured it out, i was doing everythign right, but the pulley was frozen from never being touched, once i got it unfrozen...it broke, so now im still sol

hmm that sux. Just get another pully from the for sale forum.
