You would have to take the upper and lower manifolds off. Its a pretty big job if your doing it for the first time.

You dont have any neighbors with tiny hands or even a wife or girlfriend that can thread a bolt. Save you ALOT of time on the job.

the way i do it is like this...

i think its a 12mm bolt..i forget.. anywho.. i put a swivel right on the bolt and i use a 8in extencion and i lift the extension all the way to the top of the lower intake manifold... OH and remove the intake box... it will make it a lot easier..

then to put the sensor back in... plug it into the harness first then try to get it into position as best as u can... then take some electrical tape and put one layer on the bolt head of the bolt and put the bolt into the socket and try ur best to position it on the sensor and try to bolt it in....

it works everytime for me...

+1 on the girlfriend...my girl has changed 2 of my Knock sensors so far...she says, "Do i have tooo???" :-( "YES!"

you can get it out no problem, the problem i had is getting it back in its home, so she threads it and then i can get it from that point on.
