When to the dealer yesterday to look at the 20th anniversary, had a real nice one there burgundy on black fully loaded.Dealer told me willing to take mine as a trade sound good to me,let do this! then we did the numbers. the total price of the car came up to 35k and some change. Hold on, Hold the F**k on! I started to get mad because I think they were about to take me for a ride. The car started at 33K after tax and tide ect. 35K and some change! Told him I had to think about it. He wanted me to drive the car out of the dealership then and there. Is it to much to pay for a 20th Anniversary or is this what they go for? what do you guys think?

Hmm ....

I don't know what the going price for a 20th Anniv edition may be, but there will be a premium of course. IMHO, buy a 3 series BMW for that money, I would.

I saw one for $30,000 fully loaded. But honestly
for $35,000 I'd tell the dealer to shove it up his @$$
and go look at a BMW for that price.

$35,000.00

Yeah the dealer probably saw you were really excited ( worst thing you can do at any dealer ) and thought he'd make himself a nice check for the week. Although if you've noticed Nissan has always kept even the nicest model maxima under 30k, that's one of it's biggest benefits, lowest price in it's class and highest resale value. 35k for fully loaded stock options, he musta thought you were a real sucker.

$35,000

Is he fcking crazy or what 35k for a maxima even though I love this car but 35k it better have wings attached and be able to fly.
well maybe not all that but for 29k you can get a 2001 se fully loaded so an extra 6k just because its a 20th anaversary and has 5 more HP I dont think so.

$31,015 MSRP

Saw a black one at a Norcal dealership. They are selling it at MSRP. It is fully-loaded. That also means with the auto tranny with the "Z" edition. It also comes with a sunroof wind deflector.

www.nissan-usa.com

They are releasing 4 models for 2001

gxe base: 21,249
se base: 23,849
gle base: 26,449
se 20th anniv. celebration edition base: 27,149

Now with the se 20th anniv. edition and every option that inclues

$900 bose audio system
$300 Z Edition (traction control)
$539 Merian Edition (misc. options like heated mirrors/seats)
$500 Automatic Transmission
$59 Sunroof wind deflector
$59 In Cabin Microfilter
$109 Splash guards
$459 6 Disc cd-changer

the total is: $31,421
Now thats every option on the special edition, if you would get the gle with every option it would be 29,410 and the se is 29,979, the se offers more comfort ( expensive ) options..... Never the less Nissan still did keep it under 30k, except with the one time only anniversary edition, which doesnt seem like its worth the extra 2 grand ( for basically 5 extra hp and a special key chain and floormats, wow ), but I wouldn't complain if i owned it. So indeed that dealer was trying to take you for a ride. By the way those numbers are from nissan's website, so I mean you should never have to actually pay that much for it, I mean your buying a car the price is only painted on not etched in.

My god what a waste of money! Get a GXE and mod that thing out with a supercharger (4k) and $1800 for good tires and rims and some other mods (another 2k) you have a car that will blow the doors off the "Special Edition" (and any 3 series Bimmer except maybe an M3 series) and kick up 300+ hp. That's what I'm doing ~C

Big Waste of money

I payed cash for my 97 Maxima Se slightly loaded...missing the leather, Bose, automatic transmission, the climate control, and heated seats. Aside from that, I'd say I have it all. My sticker price was $27K, talked the dealer down to $21K... After taxes and everything else...I went home with the maxima for $24K. If the dealer were to give me offer the 20th anniversay for an extra $11,000 I'd be financially insulted. 11 grand can almost buy me another car.

I was a "Nissan Sales Professional" until last wednesday when I quit. I sold a Grey Luster 20th anniv. auto with Bose, leather package, and sunroof deflector for 27k and some change! It stickered for a little over 30k. Now, I don't think you can get that deal anywhere else, becuse we hadn't sold a car in a few days and we needed to get something out, but paying sticker should be decent since there is a high demand for them. Definetly don't pay more than sticker!
