Installed warpspeed y pipe

I installed the y pipe, but i have a wierd noise. it seems like a metal vibration noise coming from the cat area. any ideas what this could be? there arent any leaks.

Is the vibration at all RPMS or in a specific range? From what I remember bees in the can is there throughout the band. It could be the actual pipe vibrating also.

It happens after 5000 rpms. Almost like a metallic hissing noise.

Probably Bees in the can sound. Is your Y-Pipe NEW, or did you get it used ?
NEW style will have a "lined" Flex Section and you wont get that noise. On the older models, the flex sections werent lined.

I lifted the car this morning with a friend sitting in the car revving the motor. The noise is coming from the factory resonator. Im not worried now because i plan on changing the full exhaust out anyways. I guess the resonator might be rusted inside and blowing crap around in there. I dont know. It just seems wierd that it just started after i put the new y pipe. Maybe because it has better flow.

that noise is common with alot of y pipes, like matty said, the lined ones wont make that noise. unfortunately im an unfortunate owner of the older style y pipe and i get the sound that only got worse after a added a custom cat back. im hoping for a new y pipe under my x-mas tree this year, santa knows whats up
