00vi gives P1130...

My friend and I installed a 00vi recently, at first we had the P0505 code, which is the IACV. We bent the connector pins slightly and it went away. Now I get the P1130, which is "Swirl Control Valve Control Solenoid Valve." Any ideas what could be wrong?

0505 is clear, nothing wrong.

Do you have your swirl valves activating ??

Yes. For a while I thought the code came on at 4900rpm, thats what the switchover point is set to, but thats not the case. It comes on pretty randomly.

P0505 != 0505
P0505 == 0205 == Idle Speed Control

Here's some P1130 threads:

When I had this problem I had a really long not very wide hose hooked to my IACV. So I put a bigger fitting 1/2" into the manifold where I had the IACV hooked up. Once I did this I was able to use a little bit bigger hose. Once I did this my problems with the IACV and idleing in general cleared up. I started a thread on this in the All Motor section.

OK guys..

I did this 00vi swap..
00vi was installed using ALL 5th gen components including the 5th gen iacv.. so no cold start, as it should be..

since the car is a 99 cali spec tho, it has the wiring and hardware for Swirl Valves in the lower manifold. the 00vi had them too, but i removed the swirl valves, they hinder airflow..
but because the solenoid and ECU still tries to activate them... you just cap the vac source to the 99 swirl valve solenoid, and the CEL for it will never go on.

IIRC P1130 = 10-05 on the Nissan ECU self diag.
