I just installed my clear tails this evening. The tails came with normal (polarg i think) amber bulbs (for the turn signals) and normal red bulbs for the stop light.

Awhile ago, i bought 2 Polarg visual amber bulbs so I did a comparision between the visual and normal after installing the 1st clear tail.

The Polarg visual bulb was FAR superior to the normal polarg bulb. In fact, it made the clear tail shine a strong, smooth amber color that completely filled the clear part of tail (very similar to the 2002 Acura TL IMHO).

The visual bulbs are a bit more $$, but if you're into details, i would recommend checking 'em out!

Why does it shine stronger? is the wattage higher?

These visual bulbs are 27 watts just like stock. However, the bulb glass is not clear (you can't see the filament inside). The bulb glass has a smoky amber look to it. This likely contributes to the smoothness of color coming from the bulb.

I have these more expensive bulbs in my corner lights, so it match up better with the headlights. More expensive, but worth it IMO.

Yeah, it's really no comparision when you do a side by side comparision. Do you have hyperwhite in your corners or amber? What kind of headlamps are you running?

I have hyperwhites. I have the Nokya bulbs in my headlights. I think I should take some pics of my car at night with the lights on.

Do you have more info on these lights? I don't like how you can see the amber on my front turn signal.

Yeah, that would be a good idea. I have not seen the visual hyperwhites, but if they look comparable to the visual amber I need to upgrade since i have hyper whites in the front corners as wella s the front side marker light!
