i used to work at a nissan dealership, i got one with 80k on it for 320$ + cam adapters + gasket set, runs fine with no fuel pressure regulator, just put in a tee. no iacv, rarely if its cold, i have to rev it 3-4 times so it wont stall when first starting.. i also have no temp sensor.. cant figure that out. i use 3.0 clutch, will upgrade to stage 2 once its done though. its a fast car, beats a stock 350z in a race =] will get pics up tommorow.

Kool...but for how long.. you can use the 3.0 coolant tube on the 3.5 like i did.Bolts right up that way you wont have to tap for the temp sensor. Stepen max sells the iacv adapter. That should help your hard start & idle issues.I started off with a simple swap like yours.I was in the process of buying a awd Dsm.Then I focused more on the 4th gen.

Yeah but I am gonna be boosted as well, & iam trying to do it the right way without cutting corners.
If I did the swap alone it would be like $3k /Suspension/clutch/cams/fuel & engine management/all adapters.etc
That=$4,700 for a 13 sec car(not bad at all)+Turbo= lol

I'm not sure this even coherent enough for the average person to read and decipher. Good job. Make all the excuses you want, there's no way to justify $9000 on a 3.5 swap for a 10 year old Maxima unless it's making 350 WHP all motor and does it on hydrogen

No ones perfect tatanko.

I'am sorry if you dont understand me. $9,000+ for :3.5 swap/turbo/& body work. I hope I was clear this time around. No excuses here. Its obvious that I could buy car that is pretty fast stock.Gto.SRT 4/8(used) Evo(used)lol. A GM Ls1-4 equiped.Cobras are not that expensive either.Shoot i went to school with a guy who ran 11's (all motor)in a early 90's mustang lx.All he had done
was built tranyy/comp heads & cams. The idle was crazy but he burnt too much gas.I am looking to do something different. Iam aiming for 225-250 whp all motor. 350-450 whp boosted. My 3.5 swap would run like $3k as stated earlier.Everyones so quick to bash.Relax people.

Sorry I wasnt clear. My 4th gen is 5spd it would cost like $3k for my 3.5 swap
People keep in mind that no two swaps are the same. Cams alone can cost $800^.
With parts & labor Boltons Can get pretty expensive.
I can do a basic swap for under 1,000 but like I said I got alil crazy.lol

There are peolpe on here that have spent way more on custom setups.
I see a few of you in this thread that congratulate them when they post impressive/record breaking dynos & 1/4 miles.
FYI There was a nissan tech with a 550whp 5.5 gen in my area. The car is totaled now. Ever wonder why he didnt post?

Congrats on getting it done, its a crazy experience and a wonderful feeling when you turn the key and hear the motor start up and purr. Then the smile gets larger when you put it into gear and drive.....

inexplicably great feeling

I think it's pretty easy to assume that when you say $9000 for a 3.5 swap we're going to think you mean $9000 for a 3.5 swap.

Totally agree...he's right too. Make yourself understandable, atleast act like you're old enough to drive...whether we can see you or not. Xjinct, that was downright rude.

Just because I didnt put a space in between at and least, or a ' in didnt, doesnt mean that I cant type. We make typos, but theyre much more forgivable when the person actually gives a damn about typing and being comprehendable...so do us a favor and .

Back on topic: MAN! I need to look around and find stuff to do a 3.5 that cheap...screw the 00vi and headers...haha. Enjoy it man!

Thanks MOHF, glad to see someone else with a little common sense.

Anyway, my apologies to the OP for getting this thread off topic. I'm glad to see more people getting the swap done cheaply and having it ACTUALLY WORK. I hope to be heading down that path over the winter.
