Is there even a difference, or did Nissan just say that so that the GLE/SE owners feel better about paying more?

Someone please reply....

The electronically controlled front engine mount has two settings, soft and hard. The Engine Control Module causes the mount to use the soft setting when the engine is idling and switches to the hard setting when engine speed exceeds 2K rpm and the vehicle is moving.

Is it possible to install a computer controlled mount in a GXE which used liquid-filled non-computer controlled unit?

I'm not sure if this is it but...

I noticed on my friend's Auto I30 that the engine block tilts when changing from park to neutral to drive. My 5 speed does not do that. I'm assuming this because he has the coomputer controlled liquid filled engine mounts and I dont'. I have not idea what I'm talking about, but it might be related.

That may have more to do with the fact that shifting into reverse and drive is actualy putting torque onto the axles, and the brakes are holding the car in place, with the 5 speed it only happens when the clutch is engaged, and I would assume it would do the same thing. BTW, the mounts that we are talking about are only on the automatic SE/GLEs.

You really want to quiet your car, look into Lexus engine mount technology. They have a computer that induces a sympathetic vibration to the engine through the engine mounts. In simple terms, it cancels out the engine's vibration so you don't even feel it. They have these on cars as low as the RX300.
