555cc injectors

Hey all - im thinking of replacing my injectors. I currently have a set of stock ones in my car and am considering swapping them out for some 555cc ones. The reason I have 555cc injectors is I have a SC kit waiting to be installed, but am wondering if there would be any forseeable problems with running 555cc injectors in my car now. It's totally stock except for MEVI and Greddy Emanage.

Your thoughts?

Well, obviously you would need to take some fuel out, and you may run into idle issues. Why not wait until the SC goes on? makes more logical sense to do it that way.

yeah i was going to but I think one of my injectors is stuffed and since theres no point in me buying OEM injectors I thought I might as well kill two birds with one stone.

Depending on the ETA of the SC and if this is your DD etc, then I would consider it. But it is going t require some tuning and if you don't know for sure if one of your stock injectors is FUBARD, then I'd wait.

Thanks Nmex. I think I'll leave it then. Just having a closer look at one of the 555cc injectors.. could this be a problem??

The injectors are of course second hand. In the zip lock bag they arrived in there appears to be no plastic bits from the head, so i assume they came out of the donor car like this?? Is this OK? The head seems to be fully intact but I dont want to take any risks

Upon some even closer inspection it seems its fine. Its just some protective feet on the head that connect to a plastic washer/plug which holds the lower o-ring on. It seems secure.

those missing pieces are fine, non issue. if it worries you though deatschwerks will do a full injector cleaning and rebuild (including new pintles) for $20ish...
