RE: Major Maxin' Mash...

It really sucks that your new altezzas got all smashed up. And to replace those panels is gonna be a b*tch...well, all that matters is that your Maxima will be alright ... and be thankful its only that much of your stereo that got bashed...a CD player is not big deal...

I hope the guy who hit you doesn't try to blame it on the Altezzas.

That would suck.

Those pics look almost exactly like the ones the government produced when they test crashed a 1995 Maxima. The bumpers on 95-96 Maximas were horrible and had a "poor" rating, backing into a steel pole at 5mph would crack the bumper in half and dent the trunk (like in your case). In 97+, Nissan strengthened the bumpers and when the government tested them in 1998, they ranked it the best bumper in its class (along with the Passat).

As for the Altezzas, well, good luck getting your insurance to pony up for replacements. If you got into the accident at night, it should not matter what lights you have. But during the day, those Altezzas are quite a bit more difficult to make out than the stocker lights, so if the accident were during the day, the other dude would still be at fault but may have a halfway decent excuse because your lights were not visible.

i second that. those seem to look a little nice on that color. i have never seen them on that color so it would have been nice but like everyone says good luck with everything.

sorry to see that... I would be quiet about the tails as the insurance company may try to blame the aftermarket parts as part of hte cause. Anyway, stock replacements cost more so can just have your mechanic buy another set and you get the differnce.

i agree, but that problem with not seeing them is exactly why i have 4 brake lights, both corners, the one in the window, and then i added the spoiler later, so i have the most i can so i can be seen
