hey just wondering how i should go about wiring my amp, i gotta run the RCA jacks, the blue remote, and the red power line. correct me if i forgot anything. i did it before in my old sentra, it was pretty easy, but i don't want to screw up my maxima. audio places around my house are charging $80!!! and that doesn't include the wiring kit. also, should i invest in a separate battery(i forget what they are called, the cylinder things) for the amp, or should i just run it from the regular battery? it's an orion cobalt, 4 channel 525 watts, built in dual crossovers. it's pretty nice. unfortunately, i made the sloppy mistake of puncturing a hole in the foam surround of my on of my subs. is there any way to fix it, or is it time for new subs? thanks.

The punctured subs are toast, sorry.

As for the wiring ... the wiring depends on your HU, bose or not bose, and do you have RCA preout's already on the HU (if aftermarket?)

Heres a quick overview:

If you have more specific questions or details, please post, hopefully someone can help you.

damn, i might have to settle for one sub for a while then, i don't have the money to invest in new ones, besides i'd rather buy performance parts first. ok yea, the hu i got in there right now is an old sony, cdrx or whatever. it's got dual rca preouts. so i guess i need to know how to run it to the trunk, also how to get past the firewall.

aahh, capacitor, that's the word i was lookin for. thanks, so do you think i need it to power a couple subs? they aren't that powerful, but good for what i use them for. thanks.

new subs. - run 4 guage wire from the batt to the trunk. fuse at battery AND a fuse block at the end before equipment. use a fuse block to branch off 8 guage to the equpiment - w or without fuses (the device fuse will suffice at this point). Depending on the head, you could use the 12 v coming from the harness adapter (of course u gotta get a harness adaptor - dont want to be cutting up your wiring harness), IF you are not using the internal amplfication from the head. If you are, you need to run directly from the battery for the head too, or the radio lights will dim with bass hits. The blue remote on can be run to the back with the amp.

I've made a lot of assumptions here with your setup, but basically this si the gist.
