Does anybody have a Bose system with after-market sub amp and subwoofers. I heard JL audio has an amp that intergrates to the Bose system. Does anybody have this sort of configuration. If so does it sound good? Thanks you guys.

BrianV has a '97 SE w/ Bose. I believe he added a JL Audio 12W3 Sub and an amp too it. You'll need to get a converter or something. Ask him. I actually think he's selling it.

My friend put an amp/sub in his 92 Legend with the factory bose head unit. He had to get a converter, bought it and got it installed at a shop along with his wiring for his amp.

Is it hard to put an aftermarket deck in? If I get this maxi, I'd take it to the shop I go to & have them put it in (John Henry's shop, if anybody's familiar with car audio db contests...pretty professional place). I assume it's fairly straightforward, but the factory bose amp might be wired wacky or something. I'd have the shop install the CD player and run wires to the trunk for my amp...anything I should know that would increase the time it'd take them to do the work (increasing my bill)?
