I was looking in my engine compartment and I don't know where the Hobbs switch is. I bought some vaccum caps so that I can cap off the T fitting going to the Hobbs switch and the Hobbs switch itself. Is that what I am supposed to do or an I supposed to leave the vaccum line off the Hobbs switch open? I just want to make sure I am capping off the right things before I go ahead and do it. Thanks for your advice.

Its the little thing ->

next to the relocated water/coolant container. It has one vacuum line going to in(thats the line you pull). About 1 inch square in size. AND IT IS "NOT" THE BLUE OR BLACK ROUND DISC WITH THE VACUUM TUBE COMING TO THE TOP.

Here's a tip. ---> put the key in the on position. Pull the vacuum tube. If the T-Rex fuel pump goes on, you pulled the right tube.

Any way you can post a pix to point it out?

I am looking at my engine and I have a pretty good idea which one it is.

I turned the key to the on position and pulled the hose but nothing happened the (T-Rex fuel pump didn't come on). Is the Hobbs switch 1/2 white and black (white part looks blockish, black part is shaped like a cylinder)? The T fitting that comes off of the FMU goes to this thing and the other side goe up to near the blow off valve. I wish I had my digital camera to show what I am talking about.

Is it shown in this picture? Either A or B or is it somewhere else that I didn't show/circle?

B looks right... the round part is the size of at 50cent piece and has 2 wires (the 3rd is clipped) coming out of it.

BTW - I bought a Pulse Timer Module, set it to about 60 seconds to get rid of the surging between shifts... I couldn't stand the noise the inline pump made. Now everytime the Hobbs switch activates... The aux pump stays on for up to 90 seconds (adjustable)... enough for my 'need for speed' plus i get the peace and quiet w/o the T-REX buzzing full time. Part is under $20. I haven't figured out a fail safe wiring scheme but will post it once i have it complete.

So you plug B and the section of the T that goes to it?

If you ever need to look at it in person, you can check out my car. I'm out in Norcross, not sure where you are now though.

For this weekend until Monday- Snellville

Took my wife's car since her battery died and my Maxima had to be a doner for the weekend. I am out in Walton at the moment so a meet in Norcross (or where ever) would be alright.

Let me know what works for you and we will set up a time.
