It appears as if I am experiencing a problem with the front strut bearings, as I have noticed a clunking sound coming from that area when the wheel is turned lock to lock in a stationary position and when making turns at slow speeds (5-20mph). If anyone might offer some guidance on: how to proceed with a repair assuming I do it myself and the associated costs; the cost of having someone else do it and what shop/mechanic to consider; the potential cost of not doing anything.
