I was talking to this guy at Project Import in Pomona, CA and i asked him about a conversion to a manual. He told me that he can bascailly do all this for about 2 thousnad whcih includes the tranny, drive train, pedals, reprogram my ecu, and some other stuff needed for the conversion. What do you'll think? Is it worth it? I also heard that these conversions have alot of problems? Has anyone had this done to their maxie?

It has been done. See http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....threadid=53750

$2K is a good price if it includes everything (parts and labor).

The average shops are charging about $75 per hour. If this price is at all right, you'd either be getting a great price or this guy only thinks it'll take 4 hours to do and you probably shouldn't go with him.

Yeah, four hours seems a little quick for an entire tranny switch...

Hey you should put together like a FAQ or something for doing this, like where the cheapest place to get the parts, cheapest place for labor.. This would be a huge resource to us, a lot of ppl want to do this but just don't know where to start.
