How did u get home? Medisonic wants a 5spd after driving mine. Anyway I bought the 1156 bulb and filed one of the 2 nipples that were located closer to the bulb it self. And it dint work, what i noticed is that the bottom of the bulb where the connectors go had only 1 nipple and stock has 2. So whats up with that. I got so ****ed, because everything went wrong. The HEadlights i brought are bad and now these corners suck. Please help...

You must have broke it man. My bulbs worked fine that way on Deezo's car and they work fine on mine. And yes they do have 2 connectors on the bottom and not 1, so I don't know what's going on there.

clearance lights

the light bulb is a 1157. 2 filaments. the socket has 2 connections, but only one side has a wire connected to it. and it uses the low watt side of the bulb. to get it to use the other side(higher watt) you have to take the wire out and solder it to the other hole in the socket. then it will use the higher watt filament. what i did was solder both sides together with a piece of wire so they both are on, but they do get hot. so i don't recommend it. although there is a lower watt 1157 available from summit racing to equal 26 watts instead of 40 watts. part#grm-m-14 so i can use that one and it won't be so hot. peace out.

Ok here's the deal. he's talking about the clearance lights, the cornering lights. same thing. yes the stock housing has 2 connectors on the bottom, one for 27watt and one for 8 watt. the 1157 bulb has both filaments but only one the 8 watt works on the 97-99. so the EASY way to fix this is to buy a ONE connector 1156 bulb and file off one of the nubs on the side and viola! 27 watt bulb at 27 watts, i did it this morning in under 5 minutes for deezo.

Hey, M.S., I remember the post about the 5spd conversion in Jax, and you saying "Nice, But I'll keep my car AUTO"...what happened to that ?? Are you converting too ?? After a valve body upgrade shouldnt your auto be so close to a manual ? Tell me about your experiance.

uumnm.. when you put the light bulb back in, you have to put it in backwards so the lowest nipple on the bulb will go in the halfway nipple spot.. know what i mean? IM me at 'Its Like Wu' if you have any questions... good luck

Yeah, I did alot of thinking last night, and SC the car will be better than buying a 5 speed and doing it. The car is alrady starting to get modified and I think that a SC in an auto is 'cooler' anyway. I am looking for a fully optioned 5 speed SE from about '97 on. I'm going to start seriously searching in about October.

So what do you need to SC an auto? A tranny cooler, VB mod, what else? My only concern is auto tranny. I don't wanna blow it with that SC.
Also, what sc are you considering, a V1 or V2?

The headlights I got from you are not good, because the foggy one is less bright. I took them out. If u want I could send them to you for a refund. When you put the foggy bulb in it looked good comparing to yours, but when u put both of them in you could see the difference. No hard feelings...

Good job Val. Andy, pretty much all you CAN do is the VB and the tranny cooler. I'm going for what's available, but the V1 whine to me is annoying, the V2 is quieter. I guess I'll go V2.

1- Are u sure i need 1156 bulb and it has only 1 nipple on the bottom. What if i use 1157 with shaved upper nipple on the side. Which is better.

2-How to make a signature pic. Thanks..

190, type in myftpspace in the address bar, click on 'view my ftp space', then click 'upload'. Give the file a name like sig.jpg and select the correct file. Then go to the .org, click on profile and then click on 'edit options'. On the bottom, there is a place where is says signature. Put [ img]sig.jpg[/ img] there then click submit (NOTE:take out the space in from of the img above).

I know but I thought about it and decided that its cheaper and not a b*tch to install. I rode in that kids 5spd who made 14.88.He had pop charger and it sounded pretty good. Greg Also had one and it was really nice. So for the price of one CAI I got two things. FSTB and Pop Charger. I decide to go with new. Dont want the sane thing happen like it did with the bulbs.

P.S Lets have a meet by your place somewhere. A lot of maximas are there. I need more meets. Maybe I will try to assemble one in Floyed Benifield like we had half a year ago.
