Hi. Can you, or anyone else, please tell me the type of paint, preparation, care, and instructions on how to paint the dashboard so it has the brushed aluminum look? I have been searching but so far nothing has come up.

I'll tell you how I did it, with good results.

1. Wash the part with soap and water.

2. Sand lightly with 600 grit paper.

3. Wipe the dust off with a wet rag.

4. Prime with spray on white sandable primer.

5. Sand any rough spots until completely smooth, wipe down.

6. Spray at least 4 coats of Krylon "Metallic Silver" (sanding again between coats to remove rough spots)

7. Spray on at least 2 coats of glossy clear coating.
