Hey, I am going to a track for my first time ever... the HUGE bummer is it's only 1/8mile... but that's beside the point, it should be fun. 2 questions....

1. What kind of times should I shoot for on 1/8mi ?

2. What advice can you all give on launches ? I think I have around 3k for the launch (I know how to launch, I think... just figure you all have it tried and true).. and also, do you rev/power shift (squeel going into 2nd) or is it faster to let the gear catch then hit the gas ?

Thanks!!

Any other advice would be VERRRRRY appreciated, I have never been to a track although I run on the streets almost every single night... I am taking my stock air box too and seeing what I run with it..

1 - My best 1/8th is 9.537@75.15mph. However, most of my 1/8 times are ususally around 9.6-9.7

2 - I launch at like 3k to make up for the heavy wheels, but it is different for each car. I don't powershipf, I let off the gas for an instant when I shift.

Good luck!

oooooohhhh snaps....the beast is back!!

1. haven't gone to the track with the max yet...

2. i do love to street race. Usually i go with the 3000-3500 rpm range from launch. It usually does me good for wins at lights.
