Really short explanation. It increases the line pressure in your transmission, allowing for shorter times between shifts. It may help inprove acceleration and helps to prolong the life of your transmission. MobileTek and Level 10 are the two big manufacturers of VBs for Maxima.

I did my Valve Body recalibration at Level 10 Performance Transmission System in Hamburg-New Jersey.
it's cost me around $700. And the reason why I did VB recalibration because I got Stillen super charger on my car.
Level 10 did a good job and I like the transmission when its shifting, I can feel the difference.
