Egine Treatment???
#4
STP's Complete Fuel System Treatment... I've used it twice in the nearly 30000 miles, and the first time it was a WORLD of a difference in drive and smoothness. Second time was not as much, but I'd say give it a try... (not more than once every several thousand miles though!)

Don't want to start a whole debate, but I fill up with Chevron gas in all of my cars.
My 1992 Ranger has 135k miles on it and running strong, had first spark plug change, clutch change, and timing belt change at 125k miles. Never changed the fuel filter (manual says good for life of vehicle under normal conditions).
My 1990 Maxima SE has 216k miles.
My 1997 Maxima SE has 136k miles.
My 1991 Miata has 52k miles.
None of the vehicles have ever had any fuel system problems. Not to say that Chevron is the best fuel, but Chevron gas contains Techron which seems to really work. I've called each of the manufactuers, and most will recommend 2 or 3 brands of gas, with the common denominator between them being Chevron.
You can also buy Techron as an additive/treatment from most autoparts stores or retailers such as Target or Wal-Mart. Chevron gas contains this additive, and I figure the extra like 3 cents per gallon vs having to buy a bottle to dump in every several thousand miles comes out even in the long run.
However, some people claim that most gas stations purchase fuel from whoever is cheapest, which might be the case as well as I can't prove it either way. But to me, it seems like it works...
