I got a question about fuses....
I'm in the process of trouble shooting my cruise control. (duh it doesn't work!) Well the ON/OFF switch works (it lights up) but it wont engage cruise control. The cruise control cable (parallel to the throttle cable) doesn't seem to be stuck. I was wondering if perhaps the fuse had blown. Does anyone know which fuse relates to the cruise control? I would like to check it.
It bothers me that an option offered on my car is no longer funcitoning. I hardly use it but now that I dont have it I want it back.
I'm just looking for any advice/help you guys could provide. Thanx!

Come on give me a little credit....
Just kidding.... But I did check the brake lights already. I forgot to mention it in my original post. Still need help. I'm not letting you off the hook that easily "Mr. Lomax".

Check the ASCD relay in the engine compartment. (ASCD = Automatic Speed Control Device, that's the Nissan name for Cruise Control)
Verify that the vacuum hoses which attach to the ASCD actuator are intact and connected.
Sometimes an ASCD won't engage because it mistakenly thinks it has been told to disengage. These are the disengage signals:
- Dashboard switch is in the off position.
- Driver steps on the brake pedal.
- Driver steps on the clutch pedal (5-speed).
- Driver presses ASCD cancel button.
- Vehicle Speed Sensor indicates speed outside ASCD operating range.
Check each of these items.
There could be other faults (bad ASCD actuator, bad ASCD control unit) but these are less probable.
I'll be sure to try...
You are the man "Daniel B. Martin". I wont have time to try it out until the weekend but I'll be sure to report to the board my progress.
Thanks again, hope I can solve the problem now!
