It was hot as hell in NYC last night. I was making a turn under 20mph. My stock tires (Goodyear rsa) were screeching like hell. Has it happened to any of you guys??
Should I change my tires? It's been screeching since I got the car. Does it mean the tires suck? Any suggestions? I wonder if the temperature made it screech even louder.

Check your tire pressure. I had the RSA's on stock rims. Never heard them scream like your reporting. Unless your really pushing them HARD. Go get some 18" wheels and tries for that Max!

I agree, make sure your tires are about 33/31 front/rear COLD psi. Also, make sure your alignment is correct.

Cold psi just means check it in the morning before you drive anywhere.

Not to say you can't drive or anything, but...

How is your driving style? If you suddenly jerk the wheel in any direction, you're going to upset the balance of the car...even at 20-something mph.
I don't know how hard you were trying to turn, but if you turn too hard, too suddenly, that can begin to lift the tires off the ground ever so slightly. That makes a screeching or squealing noise as well.

That tire pressure may be too high, but I doubt it.

I'd say the chief suspect is an alignment problem. That, or the Maxima isnt living up to your expectations. Get an RSB or a new car.
