Wayne: call me ASAP about this sundays pickup

im using ceramic pads by United. Any NAPA auto parts store carries them. They produce little-no brake dust and make no noise!! In the rear i have semi-metallics, they SUK!! the rim truns brown after a day of driving and squeek once in a while.

I've got Porterfields, and they are great! They dust like crazy, which leads me to believe that they aren't that hard on the rotors.

I don't mind the dust, and stopping power is so much better with these. I've never tried the Axxis, so I can't compare, but I'm thrilled with my Porterfields.

The pads did require slight modification. I had to drill small holes in the pad backing to install the return spring, but it wasn't anything difficult.

Porterfield R4S here also. They do dust your wheels with a black dust. The pads are carbon kevlar.

They may contibute to some rotor wear. My rotors are very bright like something abrasive has been rubbing on them.

They do work real well after a few miles. Just make sure you follow the bedding procedure on the new pads. See thier FAQ.

I'm looking for new pads too. Been thinking about the EBC Green Stuff. Yeah, I've seen some write ups that they aren't all they say they are. Suppossedly they don't make any dust but others say they dust like crazy. Anyone have a good/bad experience with them????
Also, I've only seen them for the fronts on my 97 SE. Are the fronts and rear pads the same????

Cheers
