nice work, but personally HELL NO, even if i could imagine doing that, what a BI*CH, ill keep my auto and let it shift for me just fine :-) gj though

Much respect to you guys for tackeling such a huge project. That looks way too complicated.. Nice write up, I didn't bother reading more than the list of parts needed

BTW, do you still have access to the donor car? Wondering if u can get parts off it....

wow, I dont think id ever want to do that. I think ill just trade my Max in for a 5spd when Im tired of my auto. I would never even have time to do that. Good Job

This will come in handy when i get my conversion done... well i am not going to do it myself but the list will come in handy sice the guy doing it has never dont it to a maxima...

thanks guys!!!

Thanks hlh0501 and cbr2 for doing the write up on the conversion. I have thought about doing this for a while. After seeing the page, I don't think I realize how difficult it is to do. It may be easier bitting the bullet and trading in my car. But Thanks for writing. If some ones wants to try at least they will have a head start.
You guys make me proud to own a maxima even if I am still tired of the automagic tranny.

why does everyone think it's so hard?

honestly it's basically just a clutch job (removing the tranny)... then all you have to do is put in the pedals, the shifter, and the hydrolic clutch lines... piece of cake.
