I've been prototyping brushed aluminum door inserts that go on the lower part of the door where the carpet is. That little indented part. I'll have pics up soon, they're on my car, I'm just determing if there is enough interest in them to get them manufactured and sold on a production level.

inserts

sounds good, should look great with the dash kit, and benzel, and floor mats i got from you. Are you still working on something for the speaker grill like we were talking about before? Cause that would just top it off.

I'd be interested if quality and fitment equals or exceeds
the Infinity ones. Will it be plain or will it say "MAXIMA" ?

I'd be in too. I've gotta get the dash kit and the bezel first, then I'll get those. Perhaps all at once?

Shadow,

I would be interested in a "package" interior kit/ bezel / floor mats and the new door insets .. it all.

BTW... Did you ever get my private message about the vinyl cutouts for hte Altezza tails. I have tried to cut them on my own twice and each time it came out like poop!

If only I had a plotter cutter... I could cut out some vinyl to overlay my Altezza's so they dont look lie those stinking civic's I can look lie the skyline! Also since I have a 95-96 artic white plain white would look great, I just feel for the 97-99 Max'x thats one weird white color. Looks great but hard to match.

Thanks again

i just need to see pics of them!
SHADOW:
will they match up to the "real" brushed aluminum dash or the "synthetic" dash kits?? I have a synthetic aluminum dash kit now with the chrome matts, door sills, handles. Im sure these would accent those very nicely

Hey Jeremy:

What's with the Vinyl stuff on Altezza's? Can you please explain?

Vinyl Tails...

All right it is a dificult concept, but "joesmax" or "josemax" or something like that has it executed perfectly...

Here is the idea right now I have a artic white 96 SE with the altezza's and someother stuff... but I want my car to look more like the rear end of the R-33 Skyline so I originaly wanted to open up my Altezza's and paint them the same color as my cars body. This proved to be VERY dificult... So I was thinking of taking a overlay cut out to exact specs to put over the outside of the tail lights to make the "effect" of the skyline rears. It sounds stupid but I tried on my own and it looked great from a distance but since I did not have a plotter/cutter the circles were quite rough, so I wanted them to get done by a professonal, any input?

Pics are coming soon. Wondering if anyone would be willing to pay extra to have Maxima sandblasted into each metal door insert? Or something custom blasted there.

It would match the real aluminum kits. They're going to be made from the same material we use on our dash kits.

Ok, sorrry about the long delay with no updates, etc. It's been busy and you guys know all the projects I've been working on, these kind of just got put on the back burner. But they are now done. I will have pictures up on monday. Here are the details. They're made from the same aluminum we use on our dash kits, they're backed with 3M tape. And they are direct replacements for the carpet that is found on the lower door panels of GLE's and SE's. GXE's just have a little indentation there. And here's the part everyone asks about, pricing.

Introductory pricing is going to be at $80+shipping for the set of 4. I may drop the price some if I decide to do a group deal. And we can put a chrome Maxima logo on each insert for an additional $15. These will be available immediately, and I will start taking orders as soon as I get you guys the pictures so you know what I'm talking about. I have pics of the inserts with and without the emblem, so you can decide for yourself which one you like better.

Jeff, so do you suggest we rip up the old carpet part to install these? I don't think they will stick well on carpet.
