VQ Series DOHC Wards winner of best V6 engine's. Found in 95-2001 Maxima's and other nissan product's ie pathfinder

VG Series SOHC Found in 89'-92 nissan Maxima's .Back then there were only SE and GXE Maximas only. So in 1992 Nissan decided to differentiate the two by introducing the VE series engine for the SE. This engine had 190hp and was DOHC if am not wrong.

VE Series DOHC found in the 92-94 SE. This engine had thirty extra horses over the VG30E and with the extra horses came unreliability in the form of the VTC. Talk to the 3rd gen guys for more.

Maxandy, please do yourself a favor and click on ALL of the STICKYS at the top of the 4th gen forum page. Then click on VB code reference on the top right of the screen, then read through MaxFAQS, located at http://web2.airmail.net/scutchen/max_faq/ . It'll answer A LOT of your questions.

That is pretty accurate, except the VG engines were on 89-94 Maximas. On ALL 89-94 GXEs and on ALL 89-91 SEs.... the VE engine was on all 92-94 SEs.
