I am looking for brighter parking lights. Can you suggest any bulbs??

Hmmm...

I was kinda looking for a way without hacking my car. Thanks for the suggestion though.

You don't really "hack" but I see what you mean. I did this mod and it took no time at all and you can always change it back to stock later just by moving the wire to it's original spot.

Hello there,

You can use nails clipers to clip off the upper stud (the bulb seat up right) and turn it 180 degree when you put the bulb in the socket.....and there you have Brighter Parking Lights..... (I assume that your '98 has 2 filament bulbs, I think it 27Watts)..... Hope this could help.

the clipping of the nub on the light works REALLY well! We did this at the little meet we had and MAN it looks so much better, and only takes like 1 minute to do. Only on 97+ though.

I did the same bulb clip mod on my 96 GLE and it worked as well. So I think for 4th generation Maxima's it should be the same.

what headlamps are you running w/ this mod? i'm wondering if the 1157 mod makes your light significantly brighter than your headlight.
