In a few minutes I think I am going to order I30T leather seats{front and back} interior which has side air bags. What I am wondering is, can I make the side air bags work some how? I whould amagine there is a sensor that goes some where in the doors but does anyone know were and how to hook it up?

 

I wouldnt even begin to think about maybe trying to do that. You are messing with very powerful and potentially dangerous hardware. All of the safety systems are carefully integrated. Just leave the bags in the seats disconnected.

I agree with mzmtg, your car was neither designed for side SRS nor has the sensors for it. Don't play with it.

 

This only works if the 1995-1996 I30 has side airbags OR you change to the 1997-1998 steering wheel.
You need a new airbag wire harness (you need one from a 1995.5-1996 infiniti) it will plug right in in replacement of your old harness, it should have 2 strands one for each seat, you also need the blow box(AIRBAG BRAIN) from an i30 w/ side bags. All sensors for the system are in this box.. You will NOT need to hook any other sensors up. Everything will just plug together.
