what was the avg for the maxima/I30 with auto again?
apparently the J30 was a bit quicker than I thought

The J30t's 8.3-second 0-to-60 mph performance won't make you the fastest kid on the block, but the 3.0-liter V6 under its hood is powerful and reassuring, especially at highway speeds. With 210 hp and 193 lb.-ft. of torque, you needn't worry about overtaking a semi on a narrow, backwoods blacktop.
The V6 also delivers a pleasant engine note, the sort of confidence-building thrum that you normally expect to hear coming from a larger V8.

thanks

My ex's brother got a J30 last year for graduation. Its a 96 with 40k miles on it. I've driven it, and even raced my car with it (my friend was driving my car). The J30 has no where near the acceleration of a Max. It doesn't handle good, and it doesn't even do good donuts! The back seat is cramped, and it has a lot of body roll. The pluses are it rides damn good, its quite as hell, and it has a lot of nice amenities. IMHO, if you want a sports sedan, get an I30-t! If you want a highway cruiser, then get a J30. Besides, do you really want a VG30DE? You have to change the friggen timing belt on it every 60k miles!
