SE-L (Limited)
Only real differences are the following:

Titanium color gauge faces
Titanium color wheels
Titanium color badges
SE Limited emblems embroided on floor mats
SE Limited Badges on doors

Everything else depends on the package that the car came with. I got mine loaded, every option Nissan had came in it. It looks really sweet inside with the Titanium gauges and black (charcoal) leather. I think one guy on here has a red (crimson blaze)limited with a 5 speed loaded. That was a Limited only color and they only made a few of them. Thats going to be a collector!

Perforated leather seats (at least in the '99).

I agree with the above. It depends a lot on the package. You could get traction control and heated seats with the SE-L. I have a crimson blaze '99 SE-L 5Spd. I don't have traction contol, leather, or heated seats, but I do have everything else.
P.S. I like those wheels NJMAXSELTD! What are those?

The wheels are Konig Monsoons - and thanks! I have the traction control and heated leather seats package. Automagic trans I'm getting lazy in my old age. I love that crimson blaze red, that SE-L looks hot in that color!

Thanks

I bet those Titanium color gauge faces look really good. How much more was the limited compared to the regular SE? The Red Max looks tight, but njmaxseltd yours is lookin tight too.

Thanks KiLtAkLoWn They do look hot (gauges). Price for the limited all depends on the package you get. Mine was completely loaded, If I remember correctly I paid 27,400 off the lot. Then there was cash back from Nissan, I can't remember how much, maybe a grand or so.

Gauges

Anyone have a picture of what the floormats, gauges and climate control look like? I would love to see them.

(Have the same climate control but mine is missing a button!)

The real difference is it was the end of the Maxima year and Nissan needed to make a special .5 or limited Maxima to clear out the inventory for the 2000's. Nissan did the same thing with the 1999 Infiniti I30-limited which included such features as the Q45 shifter, special badging and body colored door handles.

Maxima SE Limited Features

Titanium-color badging
Titanium-tinted gauges
Titanium-tinted alloy wheel surfaces
Special smoked tail lights
Exclusive new colors (Which was the biggest change! The Crimson Blaze Red, and Bayshore Blue were the two big color adjustments)
Dark titanium fender flares
Special Front Grille
Floor Mats with SE Limited logo
Optional perforated leather embossed with SE embossment

I have to admit, the crimson blaze was very nice.
However I didn't want to spend an extra 3 grand when the car didn't have the optional TCS. Nissan was boasting about new special TCS for '99. So I opted for the 1999 Maxima SE in Icelandic Pearl. I usually put safety before looks. (And let me tell you with rough New England weather the TCS is GREAT)

If you remember back when the Altima's were HOT! In 1994, Nissan distributed 1500 Altima SE's in Aztec Red. They were a huge hit, and are very hard to find these days.

Btw... I'll have a picture of my car soon!

Dave
