does anybody here have sumitomo HTR4's on their max, or does anybody know anything about them? I might be getting them for my 97SE, i just wanted to get some opinions. I have heard that they are good all season/performance tires for the money.
PS - I hate tire shopping, its a PITA!!

I'm never had them, but I am familar with Yokohama tires. They have several choices in the all season/performance category for reasonable $$. Check them out at http://www.tirerack.com

I've had 3 sets of the Sumitumo HTR4's on an Acura Legend. They are a great tire for the money. They ride smooth and quiet, and grip well in the wet and dry, not to bad in the snow either. However, I'm sure the dunlop sp5000 and the yokahama's are probably better. You just have to ask yourself if it's worth the extra $100 a set? I do have to say, you probably won't be disappointed in the HTR4s.

Nice tire - great sidewall appearance

Dunlop sp 5000 are nice too. Depends on where you live.
Treadwear is not as long as dunlops.
If you drive hard expect 20,000. Maybe more.
