octane differences

my check engine light just came on, its been on before, im going out to check now, but the 4th gen requires 89 octance, right?? that maxfaqs said 91, and i swear its 89!! please help fast

its 91.. it states that in my owners manual

as long as you don't get any knocking or pinging you are fine.. don't put that octane booster garbage in your gas tank .. just get 93 on your next fill up

thanks for the link, thats where i saw its 91 !! no octane booster?? ok... i'll trust you, now i need to burn some gas for 93. thanks
