could i put 235/45/17 on a 17x7 rim? Cuz 17x8's r pricy and if i can safely get away with it i would like to but i could go to a 225/45/17, correct? I just want to know everything b4 i buy, thanks.

17x7 with 225/45/17
17x7.5 or 8 would be 235/45/17

You can put 235/45/17 but it's not recommended. To be safe, I'd go one size smaller (225)

What's the price difference between 17x7 and 17x8? Can't be that much. Besides, you get less tire sidewall rollover if you wider rims which makes cornering feel more secure.

Can do it, but I sure as hell wouldn't.

Just IMHO though.
