Hi:

I installed a cattman y-pipe the other day and I've been having some problems. First I have a leak from the second flange, the one that is in the rear of the engine, it makes the car sound old.

The second problem I have is that I can feel a vibration through the steering wheel that wasn't there before I got the y-pipe installed. What can I do to eliminate this problem?

Thanks, I'm open to ideas.

P.s. I'm very impressed with the performance gain.

Leak: Did you install the crush rings that came with the Y-pipe? Make sure everything is tight. Also, make sure the noise is coming from that area and not the flex section or that area.

Vibration: From the steering wheel? Are you sure that the Bracket around the Y-pipe/Cat junction isn't hitting the body of the car? This is where my problem was with mine. I was able to bend the bracket and then everything was fine.

I did install new crush rings with the Y-pipe, I just don't know why I have a leak, and I'm sure it's not from the flex section because I used a hose to pinpoint the leak.

You are right, the vibration is through out the whole car, just that it's more noticeable trough the steering wheel. I'll keep this in mind tomorrow.

Thank you Bryan!
