Besides keeping the stock 95-96 SE wheels clean just by using standard wheel cleaner, what are some other preventative-maintenence type things I can do to keep my wheels shining? I've known people that say they 'wax' their chrome wheels...anything I can do in this sort to keep the clearcoat from breaking down? I just don't want them to turn into how my last car's wheels were (they developed the 'fog' thats common on older alloys, where you could swipe at them with a rag and it would come back in 3 seconds...)

Just don't use anything too strong (solvents) on the clearcoat when you clean them. You should wax/polish them every 2-3 months to keep them protected. Nothing abrasive though.
